Commercial & Residential
take-offs
Whether
you are seeking a material quantity estimate for a developer,
contractor, lumber company, panel shop, professional estimator
or private individual, we can tell you exactly what you need
to build your project.
Our material quantity take-offs are PRECISE
because they are based on a CAD model of your project.
We can generate take-offs on any structure,
regardless of size. Framing take-offs start at .035 per square
foot under roof. Cornice and siding, millwork, and all other
estimating needs are priced separately.
All work is prioritized in 3 ways: the
order it comes in; when your bid is due; whether your project
is “expedited”. Expedited projects are assessed
a surcharge in exchange for priority over non-expedited work.
We strive to turn your work around as
quickly as possible. That is usually about a week, but may
be longer at times. If we can not meet your deadline, we will
tell you within 24 hours. Click
here to read our typical turn-around policy.
We can work from blueprints, electronic
drawings (DWG/DXF, TIFs or PDFs), hand-drawn plans or rough
sketches. Large files may be uploaded to our password-protected
FTP site.
Your take-off can be returned to you
as a PDF, Word document, text file, or as an Excel spread sheet.
For an extra set-up fee, take-offs can be returned in a format
that includes your SKU numbers.
We generate EXACT material take-offs
using BuildersCAD.
Now offering with residential takeoffs: Enhanced
Framing Diagrams
(click
for example)
On enhanced framing diagrams, each board
is labeled with the nominal length of lumber from which the
framer should cut the labeled joist/rafter. Also, we
place a list of lumber (size, length and grade) figured for
the floor/roof/ceiling. Using this information, if the
framer will cut the joists/rafters according to the labeled
lengths indicated on the enhanced framing diagram, the amount
of lumber waste will be minimized.
Enhanced framing drawings may be generated for the following:
- one drawing for the roof system;
- one drawing for each floor level;
- one drawing to cover all flat or vaulted ceilings
in the structure.
All
Enhanced framing drawings are quoted upon request.
