BCAD Materials Express

BCAD Materials Express (BCAD MATEX) uses the power of Oracle database management tools to help you create and maintain your materials in BuildersCAD. Import any CSV table or Excel spreadsheet to create your Stock File or to update material costs in BuildersCAD. Within BCAD Materials Express, all estimating formulas and stock lists are keyword searchable; you can also batch-edit stock items, including descriptions. One seat can be shared throughout your office network.

Expert Translator for BuildersCAD or ARRIS

The Expert Translator enables users of BuildersCAD and ARRISCAD to import and export data in DWG and DXF file format. You can export all or part of your database as a DXF or DWG file. Also you can import any DWG or DXF file into BuildersCAD or ARRISCAD.

NOTE: Expert Translator 7.4 and earlier versions are NOT compatible with BuildersCAD or ARRIS version 9 or later BCAD/ARRIS releases.

DWGplace for ARRIS and BuildersCAD

Easily place DWGs in your CAD drawings. Some features:

1) Easily place a small-to-medium size DWG in the current session of graphics. Select a DWG from your hard disk, then select a location on the current layer, and the DWG is placed in your drawing in seconds!

2) DWGplace uses the current Layer, RI-Scale, RI-Rotation, RI-Offset for the placed DWG.

3) If the drag mode is set to On, the cursor will take the shape of the selected DWG allowing better visual location.

RILIB Translator for ARRIS and BuildersCAD

Export entire RI libraries to DXF/DWG format, or import entire directories of DXF/DWG "blocks" into self-contained RI libraries.

Panel Stacking for BuildersCAD Intelli-Framer

Easily and efficiently manage the entire panel stacking process from start to finish. Create and maintain stacks of panels within a database; pre-set size parameters for the stack; generate multiple stacks of panels automatically or manually. This tool offers a wide range of editing capabilities, so you can easily rearrange stacks once they've been created. You can also create stack drawings, a keyed plan view, and complete listings of panels within each stack -- all of which helps locate placement at the time of delivery. The program even allows you to determine the order for building the panels. The Stacker also produces these reports:

1 -- The Angle Marker will flag with an asterisk any board that is mitered or raked in a Wall Panel Elevation Drawing. It does not give you the cut dimensions, but it alerts the shop that an angled or mitered board is in the wall panel.

2 -- The Board Angle Label Utility replaces the asterisk with the degree of the miter; this is only noted in the Panel Elevation drawing.

3 -- The Component Nailing List is a report of all of the Opening Components and a cut list of the boards that are a part of each individual component. It also includes a list of the quantity of each component in the floor plan, and a list of all of the walls that each component resides in. This allows the shop to build the number of the components it needs and easily locate where each component goes.

4 -- The Plate List is an ordered list of all of the walls in the database with a cut list of all of the plates for each individual wall. The report includes an asterisk indicating mitered plates. The mitered plates are also noted with an asterisk on the corresponding Wall Panel Elevation drawing.

Floor Panel Drawing Utility for BuildersCAD Intelli-Framer

Quickly creates a Floor Panel Drawing from each floor plane you have entered and framed in BuildersCAD. It also automatically creates a key drawing -- which is a drawing of the entire floor system, by level, with each plane labeled so that it corresponds to each floor panel drawing.

Wall Panel Edit Tool for BuildersCAD Intelli-Framer

Quickly edit wall panel drawings by transitioning from one panel drawing to another without manually turning on and off layers.

Stock Import Utility

This utility allows you to keep your product SKU numbers and unit costs in BuildersCAD, and keep them current, so that when you run a materials report you have a printout of exactly what you need – including these critical items – to place your order. The utility imports 4 fields into BuildersCAD: SKU#, product description, unit of measure and unit cost.

Formula Edit Tool for Materials

Use this utility to globally replace a stock item in all estimating formulas. For example: Replace a Kohler faucet in all estimating formulas with a Delta faucet.

Circular Wall Tool

Easily create radius walls within BuildersCAD. These walls can be raked, extruded and/or framed. You can also apply Materials to them. Click here for additional information.
